Black and white photo narrative for Digital Photography I.
The inspiration for this project was a series by Cole Thompson, whose work can be seen here. I was already determined to try a black and white photo shoot for the first time. Then I saw this series of his. At first they looked to me like fragments of white porcelain laying on black fabric but the reality is much more surreal. Thompson's talent for finding beautiful shapes and forms in every day life inspired me to try doing the same. The images are all abstracted from objects around the house using creative lighting, composition, focus, and exposure techniques.
